Generations Connected to the Sea
Our work in fish drying is not limited to recent years. The profession has roots in earlier generations of our family, who worked in fishing, drying and trading different kinds of fish across Southern Iran.
Historically, dried fish was part of regional maritime trade. Traditional sailing vessels carried dried fish, salt and dates from Southern Iran toward India and parts of Africa, while goods such as timber returned through the same trade routes.
Today, Galdi Fish continues that heritage with a modern, professional and international approach—preserving the authenticity of the past while building sustainable long-term trade for the future.
